Birthday bumps
- I think the girls were more excited about my birthday than me. Lavina and Shikha were going on wishing me happy birthday throughout the day.
- The first birthday wish clocked was Kalindi’s on Orkut, one week before my birthday.
- The first one to call me was Ramya, 5 minutes before 12 O clock followed by Lavina.
- Shikha sent me the first SMS wish from Germany, followed by Polly and Soup.
- Ani wished me first in the morning
- Lakshmi was the first to wish by email and Sithu here on my blog
- Karthick gave me a happy birthday song.
- Lavina and Chinky surprised me in the morning by coming home with a cake. How did they find my house? Ok here is the modus operandi. The previous Sunday they called me and asked me how to get to my place as they want to see my place and cook lunch for me. I gave them the route, they came and made chili chicken for lunch. Actually this was a part of the surprise master plan it seems.
- Susheel gave me some gyan about the technicalities of being a year older.
- I was planning to take my colleagues out for dinner but surprisingly our president threw a party out of the blue that night at Geoffrey’s and so we all went for it. Later I told him that it was my birthday and he announced that the party is for me. The timing was perfect. That night Team USA did bhangra to hip hop dj music.
- At 11.30 PM my manager called me and reminded me of an unfinished task. I went back to work at around 12 AM and worked till 2 AM and finished the task.
- Achan Amma and Vivek Chindu called me when I was at the party.
- Anjali wanted to be the last one to wish me, so she waited and wished me at sharp 11.59 PM. Kuttetan & Edathiamma called just after that.
I got the maximum number of wishes this time. Thanks a lot.

Hmmm. I notice that you seem to have got treated couple of times, but didn’t give anyone a treat for ur bday. Don’t worry, will demand one from you, once I’m back!

Good man! You are popular now. As shikha says, Orkut and blogs help people to get more wishes than before. After all we yearn for them. Don’t we? At least my alter-ego will say “yes! you do yearn for wishes”
The birthday song was something which I selected only for the lyrics. Too good and I kept watching it for a dozen times to catch up the lyrics.

Sreejith – Please dont feel bad man. I just mentioned the cream. I got loads of wishes thru phone calls (which included u), texts, IM, orkut scraps, blog Comments, emails, ecards, office intranet and of course in person. Thanks to all of you. hey no hard feelings yaar. This was not a list of people who wished. Just an outline of what happened on that day. Thats all. There was a deluge of wishes actually to specify all of them here was not my idea.
